Terms and Conditions for Article Publication Fees
International Journal of Medical Science and Dental Health Journal (IJMSDH)
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the Article Publication Fee (APF) for authors submitting their manuscripts to the International Journal of Medical Science and Dental Health (IJMSDH). By submitting your manuscript, you agree to the following terms and conditions regarding payment of the APF and related processes.
2. Article Publication Fee (APF)
Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication in IJMSDH, authors are required to pay the applicable Article Publication Fee (APF) to cover costs associated with the editorial process, peer review and production of the article.
2.1 Fee Structure
The APF is 120 USD per accepted manuscript.
Special issues or accelerated review processes may incur additional fees, which authors will be notified of prior to acceptance of their manuscript.
2.2 Payment Schedule
The APF must be paid within 1 to 2 days of receipt of acceptance notification.
Failure to complete payment within the specified period may result in a delay in the publication process or withdrawal of the accepted article.
3. Payment Methods
Authors may make payment using one of the following methods:
Bank Transfer: Bank account details will be provided in the acceptance email.
Credit/Debit Card: Payments can be processed via secure online payment gateways.
PayPal: Available for international authors or those who prefer an alternative payment platform.
4. Refund Policy
APF is generally non-refundable, except in the following circumstances:
Article Refund (Pre-Publication): If the author requests to withdraw the article after acceptance but before publication, 80% of the APF will be refunded within 5 to 7 days.
Journal Decision: In cases where the journal decides to withdraw or delay publication for reasons unrelated to the author's submission, a full refund of the APF will be processed.
5. Discounts and Waivers
IJMSDH is committed to supporting research from low-income or developing countries. The journal offers fee waivers or exemptions depending on the author's country of residence, as well as special waivers for student authors.
5.1 Eligibility for waivers
Authors from low-income countries (based on the World Bank classification) may apply for a full or partial waiver of the APF.
Student authors may be eligible for a waiver if they provide proof of enrollment at a recognized academic institution.
5.2 Application process
Authors should apply for a waiver or exemption by providing a formal request with supporting documentation during the manuscript submission process.
Requests for waivers made after manuscript acceptance will not be considered.
6. Article Refund Policy
In cases where an author requests to withdraw an article after submission but before the peer review process, no APF will be charged. Once the article has been accepted for publication, withdrawal will result in the forfeiture of the APF unless otherwise stated in the Refund Policy.
7. Non-payment
Non-payment of the APF within the specified timeframe may result in the following consequences:
Delay in publication of the manuscript.
The journal reserves the right to withdraw the accepted manuscript or prevent the article from appearing in future issues of IJMSDH.
8. Author's responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all payments are made on time and in the correct amount.
It is the author's responsibility to ensure that payments are completed by the due date specified in the acceptance email. The journal is not responsible for any delay in publication due to delay in payment.
9. Change in fees
IJMSDH reserves the right to modify the APF at any time. However, the fees applicable to the author will be applicable at the time of acceptance of the article.
